    The registration is being organised by Northern Networking. Registration forms can be downloaded in Word6 for PCs, Word5.1 for macs, rich text format, Postscript and PDF formats.

    All attendees at the Congress, including all invited speakers, MUST register. All registered participants will receive a conference bag and materials, including a delegate badge which will secure free admission to the following: Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, Monteith-Robertson Symposium Buffet, Young Delegate Mixer (student registrants only), ``Learn to Dance' Session , Marks and Spencer Shopping Evening, the Farewell Fling and the Exhibition.

    General registration will begin on Wednesday 4 August in the Exhibition Hall at the SECC at 12:00hrs, at 08:00hrs from Thursday 5th to Monday 9th August and at 09:00hrs from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th August.

    Registration forms must be postmarked on or before 1 June 1999 to be eligible for the reduced registration fee. On site registration will be accepted at the higher rate. Registrations received via fax must include credit card payment.

    Coaching Charge

    A coaching service will be provided from the University of Strathclyde and all official congress hotels. A ticket for this service is available for £10.00 which covers the duration of the congress.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations and requests for refunds should be made in writing to Northern Networking Ltd. For cancellations received before 1 June 1999 20% of the total remittance will be deducted; after 1 June and before 4 July 1999, 50% of the total remittance will be deducted. Fees will not be refundable after 5 July 1999.

    Payment

    Payment of the registration fee must accompany all registration forms. No registration will be confirmed until payment is received. All payments must be by Sterling cheque, bank draft or the following credit cards: Visa, Access, Mastercard and Barclaycard.

    Bursaries

    The closing date for bursaries has now passed and no further applications can be accepted. Over 500 requests have been received, and obviously they cannot all be successful. The bursary committee is meeting in January and applicants should hear in early February. Good luck!

    Oxford Cryosystems Poster Award

    Oxford Cryosystems will be awarding a prize of £250 sterling to the best poster describing work in low temperature crystallography. The award will be made for either a description of low temperature equipment or for any research in which low temperatures are the main feature. Judges will be selected by the Organising Committee, and the prize will be presented during the Farewell Fling on August 13th. To be eligible, mark the appropriate box on the abstract form.

    Accompanying Persons Programme

    Accompanying guests may be registered in advance by using the appropriate entry on the registration form. Please give guest names as you would like them printed on their delegate badges.

    The accompanying person registration fee includes admission to the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, the ``Learn to Dance' Session, the Marks and Spencer Shopping Evening, the Farewell Fling and the Exhibition. It does not include admission to any of the Scientific Sessions.
